Global Lead, Partnerships (London/NYC/SF)

WERKIN builds inclusive multi-platform mentorship programmes for global companies. As part of our expansion, we are looking for an experienced, high-energy B2B Sales Lead. The primary function of this role is business development at the senior stakeholder level to accelerate sales growth.

You must have a passion and respect for diversity & inclusion across industries, along with the ambition and gravitas to communicate with C-Suite whilst cultivating relationships with multiple stakeholders and communicating our value proposition.

The successful candidate will be energetic, persuasive and well-organised and able to demonstrate the ability to sell and become a trusted advisor.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.

  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.

  • Understand and effectively communicate the company’s value prop, tech, process and current partnerships through proposals and presentations.

  • Complete sales operational requirements through communication with other employees and following up on work results.

  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, Zen Desk or other CRM systems. 

  • Desire to own projects and exceed expectations, finding solutions and delivering results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, diversity-driven culture.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans.

  • Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer success.

  • Analyse pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, Win/Loss and Age.

  • Report on key KPIs related to the lead and the opportunity to implement a consistent closed-loop between marketing and sales.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines

  • Passion and belief in the power of mentorship to encourage diversity and inclusion in global organisations 

  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth start up

  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems

  • 3 years sales experience and examples of meeting or exceeding targets

  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

  • Proven ability to position products against competitors

  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills


  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager or sales and marketing director

  • Experience in programme, SaaS, training or digital sales
